Transtelecom JSC Partners with AVC Global

Transtelecom JSC, the one of the largest telecom operators in the Republic of Kazakhstan, has decided to enter the National Track and Trace program to become the leading provider of the global services in this field.

TTC has collaborated with AVC Global Inc, an American company, which has developed the first GS1 compatible blockchain-enabled track and trace platform with smart contracts for customs clearance with the possibility of financing for the supply chain.

AVC Global has already successfully implemented a pharmaceutical traceability system in the Kingdom of Bahrain through its Medical Vale Chain subsidiary, MVC, and is actively developing cooperation with other governments: agreements have now been signed with the Governments of Lebanon, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The AVC track and trace platform is compatible with global GS1 standards, which allows for full transparency in the supply chain of goods: from production, shipment of goods to Kazakhstan to their sale to the end consumer, including events accompanying the processes of their logistics and turnover within the country.

In addition, a soon to be released mobile blockchain authenticator application of AVC will enable consumers to verify the authenticity and reliability of information about the safety of goods.

Karim Kassymov, Deputy Chairman, Transtelecom JSC: “The partnership with AVC will allow us to introduce in a short time an advanced solution for traceability of goods based on the use of modern technologies and world experience in designing Track & Trace systems. Our cooperation, first of all, is aimed at providing the state and business with effective tools for the development of the digital economy and enabling Kazakhstani consumers to purchase legal and high-quality products.”

The AVC platform is a quantum leap forward in how countries can implement and fund GS1 standards traceability programs while improving the supply chain delivered to consumers by reducing fraud and optimizing trade finance and customs clearance throughout the global supply chains.

Leo A. Giacometto, Chairman of the Board of AVC: “We are proud to work with Transtelecom to bring to Kazakhstan a proven, reliable and deployable Track and Trace with Blockchain platform. Unlike other systems we utilize GS-1, a standard that is recognized worldwide, which helps Kazakhstan producers and manufactures to expand their products on the world market.”
